Potty Time for Caroline

I will not have any exciting pictures for this post! Miss Caroline used the potty for the first time tonight before her bath! For about a month, she has been sitting on the potty at bath time with no luck. Well tonight she actually used the potty and we got to sing the potty song. She was so proud of herself and was clapping to the song. Jack was looking at me like I was crazy. I'm so proud of my sweet pea!

Dad's Day - Suitcase Circus

Today, was Dad's Day for Jack's school. The theme this year was Suitcase Circus. Daddy took Jack to school and they started off the celebration by having breakfast. After some yummy food, they enjoyed a puppet show and then went back to the classroom to present some special gifts to Dad. Both Jack and Dad enjoyed their special time together. The school did a fabulous job celebrating and recognizing all the DAD's!

1 2 3 Go Soccer Tots!

Jack started his third session of soccer tots today. He has always enjoyed soccer but truly seemed to enjoy it even more today! He is getting really good at kicking the ball but still wants to pick up the ball from time to time. Hopefully, in the fall he will start on a true soccer team and get his first taste of team sports.

Caroline had to sit on the sidelines for most of the class. She was not a happy camper and wanted in on the action. Take a look at her skills! My princess can kick the ball and run at the same time.

ABCDEFG - Alpahbet Playdate

We had unique playdate today hosted by Thomas, Nicholas and Dana. All of the kids were asked to pick a letter and dress up as something with that letter. Jack was Jack the Jacks man. He wore a shirt with Jacks attached. Caroline was a Princess. This was perfect for her since all she had to do was put on a dress and her princess crown. The princess decided she would not wear her crown or participate in the group picture.

The other kids were Marley the Monkey, Little Boy Blue Dru, Thomas the Spaceman, Nicholas the Popcorn Boy, Riley the Dinoasur, Mattie Lou the Supergirl, Learning Landon, Glamour Girl Olivia, Athletic Alex, Ryan the Red Man and Lucas the C boy. Some of the food was also themed around the letters (popcorn, monkey bread). What a fun day and the kids had a great time. They both had to take a bath before naptime.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday today and had a small party with just the four of us. Jack wanted so bad to go somewhere for Daddy's birthday (you know a jumping place or Chuck E. Cheese). We sang Happy Birthday and Jack helped Daddy blow out his candles. Caroline sat so sweet at the table just waiting for a piece of cake. We then gave Daddy his gifts. Jack got to pick out a gift on his own and bought him an orange squirt gun for the pool. He thought Daddy would love it and is hoping he can get the green one for himself. Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you and are thankful for everything you do for us.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Yes, today we had snow in the Deep South. Jack was so excited to see the snow and couldn't wait to play out in the snow just like he did last year. After the kids got up from their naps, we headed out to make a snowman and have a snowball fight. Caroline loved being outside but really didn't know what to think. She enjoyed wearing boots but couldn't move with the numerous layers of clothing. Jack would have stayed out all day and was wet from head to toe. His underwear were truly soaking wet and I kept finding snowballs in his clothing! Although we had a fun day, I'm hoping this will be the only snow we see this year. I'm ready for some warmer weather.
