Jack and Caroline both received a letter from Santa this year. He confirmed to both of them that he had their lists. He checked it twice to see if they were naughty or nice. To our surprise both are the nice list. He told them he would see them on Christmas Eve. Of course, they must stay off the naughty list between now and then!

Caroline's Frist Tea with Cinderella and Santa
Caroline had her first tea at the Strand Theatre today with Cook Cook, Aunt Nan, Aunt Jennifer and Cousin Madison . To make the tea even more special, Cinderella was there as well as Santa. Caroline loved talking with Cinderella. Caroline also told Santa again that she wants three baby dolls. As a gift, we each received a glass slipper. Caroline and Madison had to try the shoes on at their first opportunity. The food was delicious but the girls only wanted to eat all the sweets! Caroline is really excited to visit Cinderella at Disney in a month.

Breakfast with Santa 2009
This morning we went to church for our annual Breakfast with Santa. Caroline was so excited and wanted Santa to sit at our table. I told her he would be busy letting all the boys and girls sit on his lap. Riley and Mattie Lou sat with us again this year. The kids enjoyed making Christmas Cards to send to the troops while waiting to see Santa. They also loved the food . . . especially the doughnuts.

Pink Pig 2009
We made our annual visit to ride the Macy's Pink Pig today at Lenox Mall. I thought it might be a little busy but it was crazy! We waited to ride 45 minutes and it took 20 minutes to buy the tickets. It was fun having our friends go with us again this year - Riley, Mattie Lou, Thomas, Nicholas, Dru, Marley, Madison, Davis, Sara Joy and Sawyer (Riley's neighbors). The waiting was a challenge for the kids but they did okay. After the long wait, all the kids loved the ride!

Huck the Elf and Christmas Countdown
Our elf, Huck, has returned for another year of watching over the kids. Each day he makes sure the kids are behaving, leaves to tell Santa and reappears in a new place. Jack loves to look for Huck each morning and seems to be acting better. Caroline is getting the hang of it and is still acting like Caroline! We have also started the countdown to Christmas with their Advent boxes. They will get a surprise each day. Today they received a piece of Christmas candy and an animal nail brush. Only 23 more days and then Santa will be coming!

Christmas Lights at the Farm
Tonight we headed to Petit Farms in Cartersville, Georgia, to look at Christmas lights. At the farm, they have numerous different animals, including camels, zebras, reindeer and goats. The farm was also decorated with lights. We had never been here before and the kids loved it and are asking to go back. The lights were not spectacular, however, the kids didn't seem to mind. Their favorite part was the hayride and feeding the camels (or watching Daddy feed the camels). They also got to talk to Santa and tell him about their list again.

Thanksgiving Day
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at Aunt Nan and Uncle Andy's house. It was a smaller gathering this year but both Uncle Jim and Glenn were there along with Pop Pop and Cook Cook. Jack and Caroline enjoyed playing with cousin Madison. Jack loved playing with Uncle Andy's trucks. The food was delicious and we left very very hungry.
