Happy 4th Birthday Jack!
It is hard to believe that 4 years ago today, we were headed to the doctor for a check-up and then told we were to go to the hospital to deliver the sweetest baby boy! The last four years have flown by and have brought us such joy. Yesterday, we celebrated Jack's birthday at Bounce U with all of his friends. The kids bounced, jumped and slid until they were all tired . . . including the parents. Thanks to all who celebrated with us and for the nice birthday gifts.

First Day of School
Well the first day of school was a success. Jack started a Kindergarten Readiness class known as the Red Birds and Caroline is in the Caterpillar 2 year old class. Jack's first day was yesterday and he had a great day. He is excited about school and we hope that he will learn a lot of new things this year. Caroline was sad to take Jack to school. She asked several times if we could go pick up Jack Jack.

I was expecting Caroline to get upset on her first day. But to my surprise she got out of the car with no tears. She even waved bye and blew me a kiss. She is such a big girl now! The only thing she would tell me is that Mattie Lou is in her class and they played on the playground. She was exhausted and was ready for a nap.
I think Caroline could fit into her backpack!

Dora. . Dora. . Dora the Explorer
The kids had a fun time seeing Dora and all her friends at the Dora Explorer Live Show at the Fabulous Fox Theater. This was Caroline's first live show and she had a great time singing and dancing. Jack has seen Elmo twice when he was two and three, but I think he truly liked this show much better. What made the show even better was having tickets next to Riley and Mattie Lou. The boys were both really good and enjoyed their popcorn. Mattie Lou was signing and dancing just like Caroline. What a wonderful way to end our last day before school.

Happy 4th Birthday Riley!
It is amazing how quickly Jack and his friends are growing up! Today, we celebrated Riley's 4th Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. Since Ed was working today, Meghan joined us for the celebration (to help keep up with one of the kids). Jack and Meghan had great luck with the games and won 152 tickets! Jack picked a GREEN lizard. Caroline had a great time and really enjoyed the cupcakes! Thanks for inviting us to celebrate your 4th Birthday Riley! We look forward to many more.

Final Week of Summer
It is hard to believe that we have finished our final week of summer! Believe it or not we had somewhat of a relaxing week. On Monday, we headed over to Cousin Madison and Davis' house for some play time. As usual the kids had a great time. Jack had a great time playing with Lexie. Caroline wanted to play with Baby Davis. She truly loves a baby.
On Tuesday, we went to have a x-ray of Mom's toe. The kids had the best time since Kellie let them help with the x-ray! Kellie even took an x-ray of Jack's doctor kit and Caroline's baby doll. Jack would push the button to take the x-ray. He told Kellie to sign him up! It was so funny. After that excitement, we headed to jumpits with Dru and Marley. The kids love this place and so does Mom.
On Wednesday, we had Caroline's gymnastics again. She did great again and can't wait until next week. Other than that we just stayed home and played.
On Thursday, we headed downtown to the Children's Museum Imagine It and then to the Varsity. Jack doesn't remember the museum and this was Caroline's first visit. Both had a great time. This is such a fun place for the kids to play and explore. I think Caroline's favorite part was the water area. Jack, Thomas and Dur loved the crane/ball area. Afterwards, we headed over to the Varsity for some lunch. I loved going to the Varsity as a child and was always a special treat. The kids loved the food and both had their first FO (aka frosted orange). Jack loved his and Caroline could have cared less.

To finish off our final day we had open house at school. Caroline was a pill to say the least. She didn't want to have anything to do with her classroom or teachers. I sure hope she enjoys herself on Tuesday! Jack on the other hand had a great time. He loves both of his teachers and seems really excited to start school. He has a lot to learn this year.

Swimming with Pop Pop
Today, while Cook Cook and Pop Pop were visiting, Jack and Caroline went swimming with Pop Pop. Jack has been swimming but Caroline did not like being in the pool. Not anymore! She wants to do whatever Big Brother can do! So here is what Caroline decided she wanted to do toady.

I'm even going underwater!
Caroline is going to start lessons soon with Mr. Kyle. Hopefully, she will learn how to swim by next summer.

First Day of Gymnastics
Caroline is now a gymnast! She started taking gymnastics today in a 2 year old class. She was so excited and even went in to they gym without Mommy. She got to jump, slide, swing and climb on all of the equipment. We will be going each week while Jack is in school. I can't wait to see how much she will learn. The pictures aren't the greatest since I had to take them through a glass window.

Seaside, Florida 2009
We took our 2nd annual summer trip to Seaside, Florida. The kids were really looking forward to going to the beach and I think it was because Medgie (aka Meghan) was going with us again! They think Medgie is much more fun that Mom and Dad. We had a great time not doing too much. We played on the beach, took naps, had wonderful seafood, and of course just relaxed. Here are just a few pictures of our wonderful trip. Can't wait to go back next year!
