Caroline's 1st Haircut

Today, we took Caroline to Pigtails and Crewcuts for her first official haircut. I was a little nervous knowing that Caroline doesn't like to try new things. Of course the minute we tried to sit her in the fire truck seat she lost it! I thought she would do better if I put her in my lap but she was still upset. Dad knew just what to do. . . giver her a sucker. You could have done whatever you wanted as long as she got to suck on the sucker. We just had her shaped up in hopes that it will thicken and grow.

Mardi Gras Playdate

Dru, Marley and Angie had us over for a Fat Tuesday Playdate . . . a day late. We had yummy food including a King Cake and moonpies (Jack's first and he loved it!). After playing inside we decided to let the kids run wild in the backyard since it was a nice day. Caroline was not dressed to play outside. She loves the outside as much as her big brother and didn't care what she was wearing.

Choo Choo Marley's 1st Birthday!

Today, we celebrated Marley's 1st Birthday. His theme was all about trains. His Mommy had a train for the kids to ride on. Jack loved it and had a great time. Caroline on the other hand, well let's just say, was not very happy with the moving vehicle! For some reason, she doesn't like to ride on anything that moves (trains, carousels, etc. ). Marley really seemed to enjoy his day and loved his birthday cake. Thanks for inviting us to be apart of your day. Jack and Caroline loved the balloon ball in their goody bags.

Don't Mess with Me!

I think a child sleeping is the most wonderful sight! Today, I went in to wake Jack up I found him sleeping with his two bunnies as usual. But he also had Mr. GI Joe set up as he is protecting him! It was too cute.

Valentine's Celebrations

Over the last couple of days we have celebrated Valentine's Day and a Valentine Birthday for Miss Olivia. First, Jack had his party at school. The kids decorated a shoe box to collect their Valentine's from their classmates, made a craft and decorated a sugar cookie. All of the kids had a great time. I can't post pictures of his classmates since I do not have permission from their parents.

On Valentine's day Jack and Caroline got a new movie and some candy. Caroline is really fond of candy of any type! She had Pez candy for the first time today and was in heaven. She has by sweet tooth! Jack finally received Peter Pan and Caroline receive a "Dee" movie (aka Dora). After that we headed to Check E Cheese to celebrate Olivia's 3rd Birthday. It has been quiet a while since we have been to Chuck E Cheese and both had a great time! Olivia we enjoyed celebrating your specail day with you!

Valentine Playdate

Today, we had our Valentine playdate with all of our friends. Diane and Jessica planned a wonderful party. The kids got to do a craft and decorate their Valentine bag. Caroline started off the party very fussy. She almost sent me over the edge. After she ate she seemed to get better and realized there were toys! Jack loves playing with all his friends and always has a great time. All of the Mom's had cute Valentine cards and gifts. Jack and Caroline have been on a sugar high all day!

The things I can do & say!

I wanted to share what Jack is learning and what comes out of his mouth these days. Jack has started to learn how to write his ABC's. He is getting pretty good with his name. Mom and Dad are so proud of him and love watching him learn.

Today, I was sick and truly did not feel good. Luckily, both kids were going to school so that I could sleep. I got up put on sweat pants, sweat shirt, brushed my teeth/hair and got ready to take the kids to school. I must say, I wasn't looking too good but at least I brushed my hair. When we got into the car Jack asked me, "Are you wearing that to school to drop us off?" I'm already embarrassing my son and he is only 3! I asked him what seemed to be the problem with my appearance and he told me I just usually do not look that way. I love my very observant little boy.

Visiting with Friends

Today, we had Kellie, Kristy and Kendall over for a visit. Kellie and Kristy are friends of mine from school. We had so much fun visiting with one another and of course talking about our upcoming reunion. Kendall is Kristy's sweet daughter and is almost 2 years old. Both Jack and Caroline enjoyed playing with Kendall. Caroline stalked her though and wanted every toy she wanted! The joys of sharing. Thanks for visiting with us and hope you guys come again soon.

18 Month Check up & Bye Bye Bop Bop

This week Caroline had her 18 month check up. It is hard to believe that our sweet baby is already 18 months old. She has changed so much and is becoming such the big girl. Her stats at 18 months are . . . 19 1/2 pounds (-10%) and 29 inches (-10%). She is still not on the growth chart but is gaining weight and growing at her own rate. The doctor is happy with her progress and believes she is going to be petite.

Since Caroline is becoming a big girl, Mom decided it was time to say bye bye to the bop bop (aka pacifier). We decided we were going to give them to Dr. Hassel to give to other babies. Caroline is doing very well without her bop bop and is sleeping just fine without them. However, she does continue to ask for them at bedtime. It makes me sad to take them away from her but I know it is time!

Here is a picture of Caroline with her bop bop when she was 8 months old.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!

For Super Bowl Sunday, we planned to have our own party. We usually go to a party without the kids. We had a special dinner of tailgating food. It was fun to have a junk food dinner and allow the kids to eat whatever they chose. Jack requested popcorn as his dessert. He literally ate popcorn for about an hour! We were pulling for the Steelers. Two years ago we got to meet Ben Roethlisberger while we were in the Bahamas. He signed a Nike baseball cap of Jack's. Unfortunately, the hat no longer fits him so Caroline adorned the lucky cap!
