Happy 2nd Birthday Madison!

Jack and I got to celebrate Madison's 2nd Birthday with her today! Caroline and Dad missed the special day since she had an eye infection. Madison was so cute and excited to see all her friends. She ran up to Jack and kept telling him hello. It was adorable. Jack had fun playing with Uncle Matt. That was the first thing he told Ed when we got home! We can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with Madison! Here are some snapshots from the party.

Beat the Blues!

Today, we headed over to Riley, Mattie Lou and Ms. Stephanie's house for a beat the blue's playdate. It was a perfect day to stay inside since it was rainy and gloomy. Jack had a great time rocking it out! Caroline loved playing with Mattie Lou's kitchen and hanging out on the steps!

Oh No a Bloody Nose

Jack received his first (I'm sure of many) bloody nose today at school. They went outside (finally a day above 40 degrees) and he fell while running on the playground. His nose started bleeding and the tears started coming. Ms. Cherise took good care of him and even let him call me. I brought him a special treat for his big injury. I told him he would not always get a special treat for falling. He is perfectly fine and only has a small scratch under his nose. Sorry no picture of the mishap.

Pajama Day

Jack and Caroline got to wear their favorite pair of pajamas to school today. Jack has been talking about wearing his Spider man pj's for about week. So this morning when it was time to get dressed, he changed his mind and wanted to wear his snowman pj's. Caroline was wearing her snowman pj's as well. They both looked cute and cozy on this cold windy day.

Happy 3rd Birthday Pirate Dru!

Today, we celebrated Dru's 3rd Birthday at DAC Kids with a pirate themed party. Jack loved playing in the sand and going down the slides. Caroline's favorite thing about the party was eating cake and playing in the sand. I can't wait for her to go to the beach in April! Jack loves the sword he recieved and is sleeping with it right now! Happy 3rd Birthday Dru!

Bubble Bath & Cuddling With Daddy

Caroline and Jack had their first official bubble bath together. Jack loved making a beard with the bubbles. And Caroline just loves being in the water! I love giving them baths together - it helps to save time.Ed worked overnights the past week which means he would sleep during the day. Typically, he would wake up when the kids were getting up from their naps. They loved to have their snack in bed with daddy. Here is a picture of Daddy and his two bugs.

Back to Normal & Sweet Peas and Carrots!

We are getting back to a normal routine after the holidays. The kids returned to school on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we went to DAC Kids with friends. This was the first time the kids have seen their friends since Christmas (can't get pictures to download). This morning Jack was laying in our bed having his morning coffee (aka Milk). Caroline came down to enjoy him with her morning coffee as well. While they were laying together, Jack leaned over to tell her "Good Morning Sweet Peas and Carrots." It was the sweetest moment and now that is Caroline's new nickname. Jack has heard Mom and Dad call her sweet pea several times and that is how he came up with her new nickname.

Happy New Year!

Jack and Caroline spent the night with Pop Pop and Cook Cook on New Year's Eve. Thank you for taking care of our little ones so we could have a nice dinner and sleep late on New Year's Day! Ed and I went to Pano's and Paul's for a wonderful dinner. If you haven't been there before, I recommend it for a special occasion. The food is excellent! Ed and I both were asleep by 10:30! The nice part was that we got to sleep in until 8:30!

We spent the rest of our day with the kids. Caroline is sick again. She can't seem to get well - is running a fever and has a terrible cough. Jack is finally well and we are hoping he doesn't relapse! We wish everyone a healthy and prosperous 2009!
